Registration Deadline for the National Referendum on Sep 5 |

A national
referendum will be held in Poland on September 6, 2015; voting
in the United States will be on September 5. The referendum
questions concern the following: 1) single mandate voting
districts 2) public financing of the political parties, 3) tax
law interpretation when disputed. Polish citizens residing in the USA
have to
register to be able to vote. Voters in Seattle and the state can
vote by mail (or in person) at the polling station in Los
Angeles. Registration deadline is August 19, 2015, at 3 pm PST.

Where: Both voting by mail and in person will be at the polling
station at the
Consulate General
of Poland in Los Angeles;
registration and a valid passport is needed to vote

Aug 16, noon to dusk: Polish Home Assn. Picnic at the
Lincoln Park |
|
|
This is the main
picnic of the summer for the Polish community of
Seattle; it is
organized by the Polish Home Association.
Come and share good food and fun! PHA will supply kielbasa,
hotdogs, bigos along with beverages and even ice cream for kids!
You can bring your a salad or dessert to share. Also, there will be
signing of songs for the Soldier's Day and friendly games and competitions with awards. Everybody is invited
to this great event!
Where: at the
Lincoln Park in Seattle, shelter #2 or watch for a Polish flag and the PHA
banner; admission free, bringing your food or dessert to share is
optional but welcomed

Lincoln Park |

Picnic on the
beach with spectacular mountain views! Everyone is
invited - individuals and families, members and guests - to celebrate the summer
at the
yearly picnic of the Seattle-Gdynia Sister
City Assn.
Come to
learn about upcoming SGSCA activities
and
to socialize with other Polish-Americans
while munching on roasted kielbasa and other delights and
enjoying a day on a beach.

The Polish Cultural Center Closed in August |

The Polish Home will be closed
for a summer break
in August and will reopen in September after the Labor Day
weekend.
