Lincoln Park |

Everyone is
invited - individuals, families and guests - to celebrate the summer
at the
yearly picnic of the Seattle-Gdynia Sister
City Association. Come to enjoy the charms of the Lincoln Park and
socialize with other Polish-Americans
while munching on roasted kielbasa and other delights.

The Polish Cultural Center open till July 27 |

In July 2012, the Polish
Cultural Center in Seattle
is open on Friday nights as usual, including the restaurant and
the bar, till July 27th (this has been extended from July 20th). It's closed on Sundays though. Then the Polish Home will be closed
for a summer break
in August and will reopen in September after the Labor Day
weekend.

July 14-15: Polish Soccer Club Plays in the 2012 All
Nations Cup in Tukwila |

The Polish
soccer club of Seattle (PKS) plays again in All Nations Cup in Tukwila
this year.
In 2008 the team advanced to the semi-finals, later it exited at
the group level. Better luck this year! Come to
cheer the team Poland in the qualifier round:

Elliot Bay Book
Co. invites everybody to a
meet-the-author with Karolina Waclawiak who will be
reading from her new book How to Get Into the Twin Palms.
Ms. Waclawiak came to the USA as a young child and
received her MFA in fiction from Columbia University.
The book is an immigrant novel with an interesting twist of a
Polish girl trying to fit into the Russian community of LA, that
draws on author's own experiences.

Meet the Author: Kaz Poznanski reads poetry
at Zeitgeist |

Zeitgeist
Coffee, an arts house and gallery, invites everybody to a
meet-the-author evening with Kazimierz Poznanski who will be
reading poems from his 2010 bi-lingual poetry volume Dlugi
Wiersz / Long Poem published in Poland by LSW. He will also talk
about his next book devoted to the charms of Kazimierz Dolny as
a painting subject. Dr. Poznanski is a painter, a poet and a
Professor of Economics
at the Univ. of Washington in
Seattle,
with interest in
Chinese art.
Where: Zeitgeist Coffee
in Seattle;
admission free. This is the art walk day in the neighborhood.
