at the Polish Home |

It’s a repetition of a very successful formula introduced at the
last New Year’s Eve party. Namely, you can choose between a traditional band
upstairs and
a DJ downstairs. Ticket price includes a full course Polish dinner,
champagne, hats and fifes.
Upstairs: music by Polonus:
Philip, Ola & Marcin
Downstairs: music by DJ Marcin Ludowicz - disco music
The doors & the bar open from 7:30 pm, sit-down dinner at 8 pm,
dancing from 9 pm.

at the upper and lower halls of the Polish Home; tickets
$75 per person (members) & $100 (non-members).

The Polish Home
is closed for Christmas on December 25 & 27, 2009, as well
as on January 1st 2010.
The Polish Home will be open, but the restaurant will be closed
on Jan 3, 2009.

Christmas traditions in
Redmond |

The Polish School in Bellevue invites
for an evening of Polish Christmas traditions and singing Polish
carols. The traditional program includes a short performance by
the children of the School, St. Nicholas visit, sharing of Christmas wafers and
sweat treats. Every child is welcomed!

party for kids organized by the Polish Home. There will be a friendly competition for
all children to perform a song or say a
little poem for awards.

Santa Claus
visit will be a highlight of the event. The restaurant will be open from

Freedom on the Fence lecture & screening at the UW |

Freedom on the Fence is a 40
min. documentary
about the history of Polish posters
and their significance to the social, political and cultural
life of Poland. This unique form of art flourished under the
communist regime and is still going strong in the years after
the fall of communism. The project will be presented by the
producer & director, Prof. Andrea Marks of Oregon State U.

The Polish
Poster: a Visual Metaphor is a poster exhibition featuring some of the most
interesting examples of the Polish poster art. The 50 posters at
the exhibit come from the local NW collections.
Organized by Krzysztof & Ewa Poraj-Kuczewski, sponsored by the UW Polish Studies Endowment Committee and the
Polish Home Foundation.
