Aug 25, 12 noon:  Solidarity Strikes Anniversary at St. Margaret's

The Polish Parish in Seattle invites everybody to a Holy Mass in intention of Poland and Solidarity, as well as of all the Poles anywhere. The strikes of August 1980 created the phenomenon of Solidarity and gave the nation its first taste of freedom after WWII, the freedom which arrived fully a decade later. Local Solidarity members and the Parish invite all to come and celebrate the anniversary of events that brought new era to Poland and Europe.

 

Where: St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Seattle.

Aug 18, noon - 6 pm: Polish Home Assn. Picnic at the Lincoln Park

This is the main picnic of the summer for the Polish community of Seattle; it is organized by the Polish Home Association. Come and share good food and fun! There will be grills available, free drinks, hamburgers and hot dogs for kids and teenagers as well as friendly games and competitions with awards. Everybody is invited.

 

Where: shelter #2 at the Lincoln Park in Seattle, watch for a Polish flag and the PHA banner; admission free, bringing your food & drink to share is optional but welcomed

August: The Polish Cultural Center Closed in August

The Polish Home will be closed for a summer break in August and will reopen in September after the Labor Day weekend.
